The program in Social Psychology at USC trains students in the methodological, statistical, and theoretical tools to study human social behavior. A minimum of 24 graduate units at USC is required for the doctoral degree. Course Requirements. Each student must take at least 36 substantive units in psychology at USC during the first three years.
Department of Psychology. The goal of the Graduate Program in Experimental Psychology is to advance psychological science by promoting excellence and productivity in research and graduate training in areas broadly defined as behavioral neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology, quantitative psychology, and developmental psychology.
As a graduate student in the Department of Psychology, you can choose from Ph.D. training programs in experimental psychology, clinical-community psychology (APA accredited as a program in clinical psychology), and school psychology (APA accredited, NASP accredited).
The USC School Psychology program only trains graduate students at the doctoral level, which allows faculty to work closely with students to pursue their individual interests and perform at a very high caliber.
Mary Ellen Warren, PhD, joined the Department of Psychiatry in 2006. Dr. Warren was born and raised in London, Ontario Canada and attended the University of Western Ontario for her undergraduate degree in Honours Psychology. In 1989 she moved south to continue research on children's learning as well as complete graduate studies in School Psychology at the University of South Carolina.

Entry to the Graduate Diploma in Psychology will normally require: Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited three-year undergraduate degree in psychology (or equivalent) within the last 10 years. Applicants will be required to have achieved a minimum Credit average in all second and third year courses.
