The Oral Examination (viva) I have submitted my soft bound thesis- how long will I have to wait for my oral examination date? If you have not been given a date for your viva within six weeks of submitting your thesis, you are advised to contact your Degree Committee.Research student progression and assessment Coronavirus (COVID-19) update: In light of the developing situation, the Graduate Research School has placed a revised procedure for submission of theses for examination on our Moodle page (under Electronic Thesis Submission).There are 10 steps in the thesis examination process. A completed Nomination of Thesis Examiners form and a copy of the thesis abstract should be submitted to the Graduate Research School at least three weeks before the intended thesis submission date.

The doctoral thesis title page (PDF, 10 KB) must comply with the requirements of Appendix 2 of the Rector’s Implementation Provisions for the Regulations for Doctoral Studies (RSETHZ 340.311). The doctoral thesis must include an abstract in one official Swiss language and in English, plus a CV.

MPhil - If your MPhil by thesis submission deadline falls on a day the office is closed, your thesis can be submitted to the Degree Committee office at 17 Mill Lane no later than 9.30am on Tuesday 14 April 2020 and it will be recorded as having been received by your deadline.
